Rules and Regulations
-
Since schedules are not permanent, timings and timetables vary weekly. See “About Us”
-
There is a non-negotiable pricing policy at Thinkingtreetutors please be mindful of this.
-
Service pricing is subject to change.
-
Parents and guardians must disclose resources [devices, printers, school supplies] for tutors to make lesson plans accordingly.
-
Parents/ Guardians are responsible for printing out worksheets [if a printer is available] and working with the children or making sure they work on homework assigned [if homework is requested].
-
Students must be logged in 2-3 minutes before the session begins to ensure they can access Google Meets.
-
If the link for Google Meets does not function please reach out to the instructor and a new link will be provided. If both links do not work, the instructor may request an alternative method.
-
Students cameras must be on during lessons and or when requested. This is so the tutor can monitor the student's work.
-
If homework is given, the tutor may request that the work be uploaded to Google Classroom; please ensure that this step is completed prior to the session.
-
If homework is not completed despite being requested, it will be done during the next session.
-
The tutor may be running late at times due to a discussion with a parent/ guardian or the finishing of a lesson. When this type of issue occurs, please try to remain patient.
-
If the tutor falls ill and is able to take a class there may be a subtutor provided. Note that all tutors are well experienced and will try their very best to sub in for your tutor.
-
Students are required to come to class with a learning attitude. Any rude, disrespectful, or disruptive behavior is not acceptable. If this is the case, the class will be canceled and the student will be asked to leave until they are in a learning mindset. We believe in a positive environment and will try our best to work with the parents/ guardian to help the student become comfortable, but efforts will only be made once the parent/guardian and tutor come to a conclusion.
-
Parents/ Guardians must use professional and respectful language and attitudes when talking to the tutor. Please note that we are trying our best to work with you to provide the best learning experience. Please note that if there is any rude or impolite attitude coming from the parents/guardians, the tutor can refuse to provide the tutoring services at that very moment and move forward.
-
Other than in cases of urgency, parents/ guardians are asked not to interrupt the session. We ask that in-depth discussions about the student's progress or any class-related discussion be done apart from class time. This is done to ensure that the student has the tutor's undivided attention and is paying attention in class. The parent/ guardians are welcome to schedule a meeting with the tutor at a separate time if they would like to speak with them.
-
Each student is unique. We kindly request that parents/ guardians allow the instructor and student 6 sessions to become comfortable and develop a learning strategy. It takes time and is not always linear for progress to occur. Please remain calm during this process.
Policies
Cancellation

If need be individuals may need to cancel a class. If this does happen Thinking Tree Tutors requires you to inform them 24 hours prior to the session and so there will be no charges.

No Notice Of Cancallation

Last-minute (after the 24 hr mark has been passed) cancellations will be charged 50% of the session fee. No-shows or cancellations 30 minutes before the session begins will be charged 100% of the session fee. If three or more classes have been canceled consecutively because of emergencies, no notice of cancellation fee will be charged. Please note that health-related emergencies are considered separately.
Late & Early Starts

We understand that last-minute tasks may come in the way of you and your class, which may result in your arriving late. Please notify your tutor. If you arrive late for your class, the tutor will wait for a total of 10 minutes. Once that time is up, the session will be counted as a "no-notice of cancellation." If the tutor is running more than 5 minutes late, they will notify you and may either schedule the lost time in the same session or add the time to an upcoming session with no extra charge.

Vacation

Thinking Tree Tutors understand that parents or guardians may want to take their kids on vacation. However, please let us know at least 1 week prior to your leave for vacation and pay for the upcoming sessions in advance. Eg. If you are planning on leaving on April 1st and coming back on May 1st, let us know by March 23rd and pay for the sessions in May in advance so you don't lose your spot.

Sickness Or Illness

We understand emergencies happen and we are more than happy to discuss further if this is the case. If an emergency arises after the 24-hour period has passed, such as an illness, notify the tutor, and they will let you know what the next steps they can take to better assist you.
Behavior

Everyone is to communicate with a professional and respectful attitude. Any rude, disrespectful, or disruptive behavior is not acceptable. If this is the case, the class will be canceled and the student will be asked to leave until they are in a learning mindset. If this is behavior coming from the parents the tutor has the option to stop offering tutoring services at that very moment and move forward.
